Zeel Solutions welcome GLA clampdown on compliance

Travel and Subsistence solution providers Zeel Solutions have welcomed the recent announcements by The Gangmasters Licensing Authority (GLA) to clamp down on gangmasters and ‘umbrella companies’ who abuse tax free allowances for workers as a method of undercutting rivals.

Zeel Solutions focus on providing software solutions that not only calculate the Travel & Subsistence allowances, but also help to ensure compliance in line with the GLA guidelines and HMRC approved dispensations.

Rav Cheema, Managing Director of Zeel Solutions is pleased that the GLA and HMRC are taking corrective action to target non compliance in order to create a level playing field within the industry.

“There is still much uncertainty amongst recruitment agencies as to the compliance issues that arise from offering Travel and Subsistence, along with the legalities involved in using third parties such as umbrella companies.  There is still also a lack of awareness that a software solution (Ztravelex) is available which not only calculates the allowances but also assists with  compliance” commented Rav.
