EU Parliament votes in favour of equal pay and benefits for temps

The European Parliament has voted in favour of the controversial Agency Workers Directive prompting industry figureheads to question its timing and effect on the economy.

The new rules mean temporary agency workers will have the same pay and working conditions as their permanent counterparts after 12 weeks of work.
